Simon Montmory
Certified climbing instructor
Simon Montmory is a french certified climbing instructor. He is specialized for outdoor climbing coaching for climbers from 5 to 8a. Simon organize 5 days climbing courses ,private coaching and Multi-pitches guiding. He works in Greece in Leonidio and Kalymnos and in France in the Verdon gorges.
After nearly 10 years of mountaineering in Chamonix, Simon decided to dedicate himself to rock climbing.
In 2005, after one year intensive training, he got the french national sport’s instructor certificate for rock climbing (BEES escalade).
He has been exploring the crags of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and China. He finally decided to live in Greece and set up his climbing school in Kalymnos and Leonidio. The beautiful landscapes, the huge climbing potential with top quality rock and the very relax and welcoming ambiance of the country convinced Simon to settle in Greece from his first visit.
Since then, climbers from all over the world came to share his passion and to take avantage of his experience to improve their rock climbing skills.
Simon climbs 8a on-sight and red-point up to 8c.
“Now I climb bare-foot, without chalk and knee-pads up to 8b. With a bit more time, I hope to do much better!”
